Carry Your Story
Event Actions
Drop by on Friday, October 23, at 1:00 PM to design your own canvas tote bag. 鈥淐arry Your Story鈥 gives you a blank bag, paint, markers, bag patches, and other supplies to create something that shows who you are. You can paint symbols from your hometown, words in your native language, personal mantras, or whatever feels meaningful to you. No art experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Come relax, grab a seat and take home a reusable bag made uniquely yours.
Residents will have a welcoming space to express their background, culture, and personal values through hands-on art. The conversations that will naturally occur in this environment will give everyone a chance to see the different identities on the floor and appreciate what makes each person unique. In the end, residents leave with a daily reminder that they are seen, respected, and part of an inclusive community.
