Each fellow spends a semester away from teaching duties not only to work on their chosen project but also to develop executive leadership abilities. Fellows work directly with a leadership mentor and attend professional development seminars and national conferences in their areas of interest. They are also offered opportunities to present their work to internal and external stakeholders.

Several Viret fellows have aspired to leadership positions at 糖心破解版 and other universities, using the lessons learned from this professional development experience and research to influence pedagogy, policy, experiential and service learning, and interprofessional education.

The Viret Family Faculty Leadership Fellows Program is designed to provide an immersive experience for faculty interested in learning more about or developing themselves for careers in higher education administration. The program includes a variety of leadership development opportunities centered around leading a consequential project of importance to the University. We are looking for projects that would benefit our Manhattan Center, so faculty with ideas are encouraged to apply.

The Leadership Fellows program is built around an intensive academic year-long experience. The Fellows will participate in meetings and one-on-one discussions with a leadership mentor through the Fall and Spring semesters. Each Fellow will be part of defining and co-leading an important task force to address issues of institutional import. They will also have access to professional development seminars and workshops, and support to attend national conferences in their area of interest.

Once selected as a Leadership Fellow, the faculty member will continue to have access to ongoing professional development opportunities, even after they have completed the program.
