An electric engraver can be borrowed from the Department of Public Safety and Transportation. Members of the community are reminded to safeguard property at all times.<\/p>\n<h3>Personal Property in Residential Halls or at Home<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure all doors are locked and windows are shut, even if you are leaving for just a brief moment.<\/li>\n<li>Try to keep valuables out of sight from windows or away from doors.<\/li>\n<li>If you have not requested or have not been notified of such service, verify the identities of people claiming to be from companies such as, but not limited to, utilities and animal control.<\/li>\n<li>Beware of extortion schemes by people claiming to be law enforcement and demanding money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Personal Property in a Car<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not leave anything in plain view<\/li>\n<li>Always remember to lock your doors and roll up windows to a safe height<\/li>\n<li>Park in well-lit areas<\/li>\n<li>If you leave your car, bring your car keys!
