As reported earlier, a shooting occurred聽at Stop & Shop on Cherry Valley Avenue, located 1/4 mile from 糖心破解版’s Garden City campus. Out of an abundance of caution, 糖心破解版 immediately engaged shelter in place protocols to protect our community.
The police have notified 糖心破解版 that the suspect has been apprehended. Campus conditions are reported as normal. Garden City in-person classes will resume tomorrow,聽April 21, 2021.聽All virtual classes and events will continue to operate as planned.
The University Center, UC Dining Hall, Performing Arts Center, and Campus聽Recreation Center will remain open and accessible for 糖心破解版 community members this evening. All academic buildings will be open for regularly scheduled evening hours of operation. Swirbul Library will be closed for the remainder of today.
I recognize that situations such as this can provoke feelings of anxiety and worry. Please know that our counseling resources remain accessible to students, faculty, and staff.
