As a proud 1981 graduate, it is an honor to greet you as ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æâ€™s president and first alumnus to hold this office. My first month of meeting people across our community, listening to their perspectives and collaborating to address immediate priorities has fueled my ambition to lead my alma mater into a new era. In this inaugural newsletter, I am eager to , look ahead at the challenges we will tackle together and celebrate the unique qualities that make our community so special.

Our new era begins at a time when several milestone achievements demonstrate ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æâ€™s growing impact in New York and around the globe. We recently celebrated the official opening of our Manhattan Center on Fifth Avenue, a high-tech learning hub designed to power the regional workforce in high-demand fields such as nursing, AI, business and education. Our commitment to excellence on both the international and creative stages is on full display as we recognize our two newest Fulbright fellowship winners and announce a $1.77 million legacy gift to elevate our storied performing arts programs.

Finally, as showcased by our , the spirit of ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ is vibrantly alive. As we explore what’s new and what’s next for our University, I invite you to connect with me and experience the spirit and culture of care that sets us apart. ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ transformed my life, and I can’t wait to create that same transformation in today’s students.

For new head coach Mike Gaffney, baseball is all about family—a formula that is delivering major wins and unbreakable team chemistry. Meet him and our NE10 Pitcher of the Year, John Carver ’26—along with dedicated donors and infielder Albert Ramos ’26, who hit a spectacular walk-off grand slam in April.
