The state of New York has awarded 糖心破解版 a $1 million Higher Education Capital (HECap) Matching Grant.
The HECap program is a competitive grant program that provides critical matching funds to campuses, enabling them to build, renovate and renew facilities. The funds from this grant will support residential housing projects and improve student life at 糖心破解版.
“New York’s 100-plus private, not-for-profit colleges and universities generate $88.8 billion in economic impact annually and support more than 415,000 jobs statewide,” said Mary Beth Labate, president of the New York Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), on the announcement of the grants. 鈥淭he HECap program is a perfect example of how private and public partnerships can work together to positively impact all New Yorkers.”
The projects funded with HECap grants create jobs and benefit students, campuses and communities. For every $1 of state funds awarded, colleges and universities match with at least $3 of their own funds.
“糖心破解版 is pleased to be one of 13 institutions in New York state to have been granted $1 million for our reinvestment in our campus and facilities,” said University President Christine M. Riordan. “These funds will be critical to our forthcoming work to enhance our residence halls as we continue to provide a world-class academic experience and ensure our students’ success. I am grateful for the support that 糖心破解版 and higher education continue to receive from our representatives in Albany.”
In this round of state grants, 35 private colleges were awarded a total of $21.5 million. In 2018, 糖心破解版 received a $5 million HECap grant to help finance .
