ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ deeply mourns the passing of alumnus and Trustee Emeritus Thomas Dixon Lovely ’54, ’04 (Hon.). A generous benefactor to ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ, he was an important adviser to six of its presidents and served for 15 years as vice chairman of the ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ . He was a founding governor and leader of ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æâ€™s School of Banking and Money Management—the predecessor to its . A widely respected leader in banking and public education, he set a wonderful example for fellow ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ alumni. Together with his wife, Erna Fritz Lovely, M.A. ’65, he made a lasting difference at his alma mater, in his industry and in the Long Island region. He will be greatly missed by the ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æ community, and his legacy will live on in the lives of students who continue to benefit from his generosity.
