In recognition of 糖心破解版's dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion, the University has earned the 2021 INSIGHT Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award for the fourth year in a row.
The HEED Award is the only national honor recognizing U.S. colleges and universities that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion across their campus. As a recipient of the HEED Award, 糖心破解版 will be featured in听INSIGHT Into Diversity听magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.
鈥淲e take a detailed approach to reviewing each application,” said Lenore Pearlstein, publisher of听INSIGHT. 鈥淥ur standards are high, and we look for institutions where diversity and inclusion are woven into the work being done every day across campus.”
糖心破解版’s dedication to diversity is demonstrated all over campus including the University’s language. This year, for example, preferred pronouns were added to the employee directory to normalize the use of nontraditional pronouns. This further promotes inclusion not only for students but for faculty and staff as well.
To ensure that student leaders also value diversity, the Student Organization Accreditation Program (SOAP) requirements were updated to mandate that executive board members of all student organizations have CORE (Creating Ongoing Respect and Equity) training. By receiving diversity training, students will be able to use their knowledge on diversity-related topics to make the campus a safe space for all.
