These have been trying times, and it can sometimes be difficult to find the balance in our lives as we juggle school, work, family and more. This is especially true with everything going on in the world right now. Whether you鈥檙e stressed by midterms, experiencing a personal crisis or just need someone to talk to, 糖心破解版 has support and services in place to help. Student Counseling Center

罢丑别听Student Counseling Center听offers individual and group counseling services to students who may be experiencing psychological, behavioral or learning difficulties. Staffed by a psychiatrist, licensed clinical psychologists, social workers, graduate-level social work interns and doctoral-level clinical psychology interns, the center provides services and support to help you define and work toward your personal, academic and professional goals.

Available services include individual and听group counseling, crisis intervention, workshops,听outreach and consultation,听support for students of color, and听drug and alcohol education and counseling, in addition to referrals to both on-campus and off-campus resources. Coping With COVID-19 Support Group

Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.

Led by a Student Counseling Center counselor, this is a supportive discussion group for current students who are experiencing personal and academic difficulties related to COVID-19. Discussion will focus on developing positive coping strategies, problem-solving techniques and resilience. Registration is not required;听.

Racism, Injustice and Change Support Group

Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. (October 28, November 4, November 11)听

This support group, open to all students, provides a space to discuss how the current racial and sociopolitical climate has impacted participants鈥� mental health. Facilitated by Student Counseling Center counselors, discussion will include coping in a healthy manner while exploring ways to effect change. Registration is required and attendance is capped at 10 students per meeting. Please听email Josh Altman, PhD, to register听and receive the Zoom link.

  • Learning and Writing Centers鈥斕切钠平獍驸�檚 Learning and Writing Centers are staffed by student tutors and offer free academic support in specific academic areas, such as biology, nursing, accounting or computer science, as well as in writing across all academic disciplines.听听for tutoring services.
  • Interfaith Center鈥擳he Interfaith Center is a welcoming community for all religions, offering the opportunity for support through spirituality, worship and fellowship. To reach the Chaplain鈥檚 Center, call听516.877.3113听or email听auinterfaith@adelphi.edu.
  • Panther Pantry鈥斕切钠平獍驸�檚 Panther Pantry is available to confidentially help members of our community by providing basic food, personal care, clothing and household items, free of charge.听Students can stop by the pantry on the lower level of Residence Hall A on the Garden City campus, or order online for confidential pickup.
  • Center for Career and Professional Development鈥�Career counselors听are available to assist and advise students as they build their r茅sum茅s and search for on-campus and off-campus part-time employment, seasonal employment, and volunteer opportunities.听The center also offers regular听workshops听on topics like r茅sum茅 writing and interview skills, as well as听recruitment programs, job fairs and the online service听听to connect students with employers.
