Sarafina Bush 鈥�12听majored in French and minored in dance at 糖心破解版, but she found her true calling designing costumes for student productions performed in the 糖心破解版 Performing Arts Center. That path took her to New York City, where she worked in costume design and productions such as听Pass Over听and听MJ the Musical.听Now she鈥檚 been听听in the category of Best Costume Design of a Play for her workon听, by renowned playwright and poet Ntozake Shange.
In her听, Laura Collins-Hughes: 鈥淲ith characters named for the colors of the rainbow (and costumed accordingly here by Sarafina Bush), it has always been a love letter of sorts to Black girls and the women they become, and to the sustaining power of female friendships, from childhood on.鈥�
