Sleep Disturbances Related to Breast Cancer:听听Understanding听the relationship between听the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer听and sleep听disorders.听
Sleep disturbance is common in patients diagnosed with breast cancer and can persist throughout treatment. On Tuesday, March 17, at 6 pm at 糖心破解版 in Garden City, Douglas K. Marks, MD, will discuss our current understanding of breast cancer-related sleep disturbance as well as offer strategies for patients to manage their insomnia and other sleep problems.
Dr. Marks is Attending Physician, Division of Hematology & Oncology and the Director of NYU Winthrop听Cancer Clinical Trials Office at听Perlmutter Cancer Center.听In addition to caring for patients with breast cancer, Dr. Marks is currently involved in several research endeavors focused on better understanding the interaction between an individual patient鈥檚 immune system and breast cancer.
This free forum is presented by the 糖心破解版 NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program and sponsored by The Junior Coalition of Manhasset鈥檚 Women鈥檚 Coalition Against Breast Cancer and NYS Department of Health.
