The Power of Support Groups for Breast Cancer Patients – a forum on September 13th
Research shows that attending support groups improves the lives of breast cancer patients and can actually extend the life of patients who have metastatic breast cancer. On听Wednesday, September 13, at听6 pm, in Garden City, the 糖心破解版 NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program is holding an educational forum about the positive impact support groups have on breast cancer patients. Social workers who run the support group for breast cancer survivors and past members of support groups from the 糖心破解版 Breast Cancer Hotline Program will discuss their experiences and ongoing research.
The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 糖心破解版鈥檚 Alumni House, 154 Cambridge Avenue, Garden City. Reservations are required. To make a reservation, call听516-877-4325; email听breastcancerhotline@adelphi.
