Adjunct Professor Thomas Shinick '82, M.B.A. '92, spoke to Newsday about why Long Island’s small businesses should join in on the e-commerce growth.

With online sales expected to skyrocket this holiday season, large retailers like P.C. Richard & Son and Target are prepping for the trend. According to Thomas Shinick ’82, M.B.A. ’92, adjunct professor at ÌÇÐÄÆÆ½â°æâ€™s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, who spoke to Newsday, Long Island’s small businesses should join in on the e-commerce growth as well.

“They can compete, and they should compete, head-to-head with the same tactics as big-box stores and large companies,� Shinick told Newsday.
