Video Game Development Summer Camp

Designed for students in grades 4鈥�8, these hands-on courses introduce the fundamentals of game development in a fun and accessible way.
Using tools like Scratch, students will learn how to design characters, build animations, and develop interactive gameplay while strengthening logic and problem-solving skills. Whether new to coding or continuing a previous project, campers will leave with a playable game and the confidence to keep creating.

Learn the basics of video game development by creating interactive games with MIT鈥檚 Scratch. No coding experience is needed. Students will build simple games while learning about character design, animation, and logic. By the end of the week, each student will create and share a playable game using the skills they鈥檝e learned. New and returning students are welcome. Instructor
Chris Miles is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at 糖心破解版. He recently earned his Master’s degree in Computer Science from 糖心破解版 and teaches courses such as Introduction to Computer Programming, Intermediate Computer Programming, and Game Programming.
